We’re a North Carolina independent insurance agency, proudly serving our community from Goldsboro. Affordable Insurance Solutions was founded in 2015 by Marcus Easom and his dad, Sammy Easom. They started with a simple goal that is to give people more choices when it comes to their insurance.
Today, our team brings years of experience, a heart for helping others, and a commitment to treating every customer like family.
Meet Our Family
Marcus Easom, Principal Agent, has 23 years of experience in the insurance industry. Before opening Affordable Insurance Solutions, Marcus sold manufactured homes and provided insurance for the homes he sold. He was offered positions with several large insurance companies, but he chose a different path. Instead of representing just one company, Marcus wanted to create an independent agency where he could offer customers more choices, more options, and the ability to shop multiple insurance companies. Thay way, they could have the coverage and price that best fit their needs.
In 2017, Marcus’s dad, Sammy, retired. Marcus’s wife, Geri Lynn, joined the agency as an agent after leaving a long teaching career. Marcus and Geri both grew up right here in Eastern North Carolina, so this community isn’t just where they work, it’s home.
Together, Marcus and Geri have two grown, married sons and cherish every opportunity to spend time with their family. In 2024, they welcomed their very first grandchild, and their hearts have never been fuller. Don’t be surprised if you stop by the office and see them proudly wearing their “Papa” and “Gigi” shirts. They’re pretty smitten!
Serving others is also a huge part of who Marcus and Geri are. Over the years, they’ve had the incredible opportunity to travel to Africa on several mission trips. These experiences have allowed them to build meaningful relationships, serve local communities, and experience firsthand the power of compassion and connection. The people they’ve met and the relationships they’ve built continue to influence the way they care for and serve others every day.
Growing Our Team
In January 2024, they acquired Kearney & Moore Insurance Company, which brought new opportunities and the need to grow the team. They were blessed to welcome Victoria Ort to the Affordable Insurance Solutions family. Victoria is a licensed agent whose helpful spirit and dedication drive her to work hard to find the best insurance options for our customers.
In January 2025, we welcomed Rebekah Brown to our team. Rebekah is a licensed agent who brings a kind heart, a strong work ethic, and a genuine desire to help others. She has become an important part of our team, and we’re incredibly thankful to have her.
Most recently in 2026, we welcomed Krista to our team as our receptionist. She is often the friendly voice you’ll hear when you call or the smiling face that greets you when you walk through our doors. We’re grateful to have her as part of our growing insurance family.
